Taxonomic remark The names Cyclostomata and Cyclostomatida are both used for this order of bryozoans in the literature; Cyclostomata is preferred by www.bryozoa.net (2020 version) and Ruggiero et al., 2015, while WoRMS (2020) uses Cyclostomatida. The latter name is presently preferred in IRMNG since Cyclostomata Duméril, 1806 is also in use (as a class or superclass) for a higher taxon of chordates (jawless fishes). [details]
