Taxonomic remark Higher taxonomic placement (to subphylum Conosa) follows Cavalier-Smith et al., 2016, which is a zoological treatment. Currently (2023) IRMNG treats Dictyostelia (Dictyosteliomycetes) and its included taxa under the botanical Code, per Baldauf & Strassmann, 2017. Catalogue of Life (2022 version) accepts (botanical) orders Dictyosteliales and Acytosteliales, but places them in kingdom Protozoa, phylum Mycetozoa, class Dictyosteliomycetes. [details]
