Taxonomic remark Kluge, 2010 contends that the correct authorship for this taxon is not Latreille, 1825 (per Zhang, 2011 and elsewhere) but Blainville, 1816, originally introduced in French only ("Hexapodes"), which is permissible under Kluge's self published "Rules regulating non-typified zoological names" (1996 onwards; treatment of names above the rank of family are not formally governed by the zoological Code so should probably be guided by current community practice, which seems to favour the Latreille authorship assignment. [details]
