Taxonomic remark Cited authorship in IRMNG, i.e. Duméril, 1805, follows Dubois & Ohler, 2019; cited year in the published work i.e. Duméril, 1806 as found in many other sources is now considered incorrect according to this publication. Authorship also given as Fischer von Waldheim, 1813 in some sources e.g. Blackburn & Wake, 2011; according to Dubois & Ohler, Fischer's (1813) names were later usages of Duméril's names at the same rank, although Duméril's original form of Anura was apparently as "Anoures". [details]
