Taxonomic remark from Muir-Wood & Cooper, 1960: Genus Hunanella nom. nud. The name Hunanella appears in a list of Lower Carboniferous fossils from the Tzemenchiao limestone of central and eastern Hunan given by Lee (1939, p. 486). It is used as a subgenus of Productus, with the species H. antiquatiformis Grabau and Tien, and like Neoproductella does not appear to have been described. [details]
