Since this name is not available, it does not compete with the accepted name Galea Meyen, 1833 in Mammalia, although another early instance in Echinodermata (Galea Smith, 1817) is technically available and should be proposed as a candidate nomen oblitum if Galea Meyen, 1833 is intended for continued use.
