Taxonomic remark Peronosclerospora was raised from a subgenus of Sclerospora to genus by C.G. Shaw in 1978, unaware that the same alteration had previously been made by K. Hara in 1927. Shaw's Peronosclerospora thus becomes a junior homonym and synonym of Peronosclerospora (S. Ito) K. Hara in M. Shirai, 1927, refer Shaw & Waterhouse, 1980. [details]
