Taxonomic remark From Leontyev et al., 2019: A published phylogeny with this monospecific genus, together with our phylogeny, showed the position of Kelleromyxa at the base of the Physaraceae clade, which was used as the argument for establishing the separate family Kelleromyxaceae (Erastova et al. 2013). However, this decision is not mandatory since the cluster "Kelleromyxa + Physaraceae" still remains monophyletic. [details]
