Myochlamys Ihering was proposed as a substitute name for Chlamys Röding, 1798, which Ihering incorrectly believed was unavailable, but was a junior homonym of Myochlamys Fairmaire, 1876 (Coleoptera); Chlamydina Cossmann, 1909 was proposed as a replacement name, however both are superfluous replacement names for Chlamys Röding.
