Taxonomic remark Genus not listed by Novikoff & Barabasz-Krasny, 2015, although Lagenostomataceae and Lagenostomatales are, as a synonyms of Lyginopteridaceae and Lyginopteridales, respectively (Taylor et al., 2010 use Lagenostomales). Lagenostoma (L. lomaxii) ovules are believed to come from the same plant of which stems are known as Lyginopteris oldhamiana and leaves as Sphenopteris hoeninghausenii. [details]
