Taxonomic remark Doweld, 2017, proposed to conserve Calamospora against the apparently earlier published name Calamitisporonites (cited as "Calamiti-sporonites", original spelling Calamiti (?)-Sporonites), Loose, 1932, however subsequent investigations, summarised in Herendeen, 2020, revealed that Loose's name was never validly published so the proposal was not needed and was withdrawn. [details]
