Taxonomic remark Substitute name for Anomaloxylon Gothan 1910, non Felix 1887. (Index Nominum Genericorum). From Philippe & Bamford, 2008: type seen, a taxonomical synonym of Cedroxylon transiens Gothan (Philippe and Cantrill, 2007) and thus Arctoxylon Kräusel is a taxonomical synonym of Araucariopitys Hollick et Jeffrey. However, Philippe & Wilde, 2020 state: the generic name Arctoxylon R. Kräusel is a later heterotypic synonym of Protocedroxylon Gothan. [details]
