Taxonomic remark pro -dia Moore 1903 (Nomen. Zool.). Neave lists both "Arachnoidia Moore 1903 Tanganyika Problem, 297" and "Arachnoidea Annandale 1911 Rec. Ind. Mus., 6, 198. (pro -dia Moore 1903)". Technically the name should stand as originally published, however Annandale in his 1811 work ascribes the name to Moore (with the new/corrected spelling) with the original spelling listed in synonymy. The corrected spelling has now entered prevailing usage associated with the original (1903) year and Moore's authorship, per the Bock World List of Bryozoa/WoRMS, and is presently followed in IRMNG, effectively making the second entry in Neave a later usage.
