Taxonomic remark Elaeomyxa is considered to have possibly derived from Lamproderma, no family Elaeomyxidae in Ruggiero, 2014. For an alternative view, which includes both Elaeomyxa and Lamproderma in famiy Stenomitaceae (=Stemonitidae), see Lado & Eliasson, 2017. [details]
