Taxonomic remark A nom. inval., allocated to its own (also invalid) family Duniaceae in original work. From Fourtanier & Kociolek, 2003: Invalid for lack of a description in English or Latin. Dunia costata is therefore automatically invalid (Art. 43). Nikolaev et al. (2001b) do not consider this to be the original publication of the generic name as they refer to it in another paper that is not yet published. They do, however, provide a description of the genus in Russian, indicate, describe (in Russian) and illustrate the generitype. The name also appeared as a nomen nudum in Nikolaev et al. (2001a) and Nikolaev & Harwood (2000, 2001). [details]
