Taxonomic remark Walker, 1854 published 2 instances of the genus name Erchia (with different type species) in the same work on the same day (on pages 321 and 357), the latter (this taxon) now treated as a honomym of the former according to the actions of the first reviser, and subsequently replaced by Pseuderchia Kirby, now treated as a Riodinid butterfly, not a moth, and synonym of Melanis Hübner, refer LepIndex entry for Pseuderchia.
