Taxonomic remark Phylum not recognised by Ruggiero et al., 2015, who place class Telonemea in an unnamed phylum within subkingdom Hacrobia. Cavalier-Smith, 2018, places Telonemea in Phylum Cryptista, subclass Corbihelia, superclass Corbistoma (with Picomonas); however in 2021 Cavalier-Smith accepted Telonemia as a separate phylum unrelated to Cryptista, also "a third infrakingdom of Harosa, which is in conformity with their being maximally supported as sister to infrakingdoms Halvaria plus Rhizaria" sharing the same name (infrakingdom Telonemia), [details]
