Taxonomic remark According to Lucas, 2002, Changyanophyton H.C. Sze, 1952, originally described as a fossil plant, was re-interpreted as part of a fossil fish (Placoderm of uncertain affinities) by J. Pan, 1992. This apparently earlier record (year stated as 1961) is therefore presumed to relate to the same taxon, for which the name Changyanophyton H.C. Sze, 1952 would presumably have priority in zoology as well. [details]
