Taxonomic remark Calpionellids, calcified microfossils treated as incertae sedis in Protista at this time, refer Remane, 1985, although treated as fossil Tintinnids (Ciliophora) in some other sources e.g. Armstrong & Brasier, 2005. Lynn, 2008 does not accept Calpionellidae as a family and distributes its members among extant Tintinnid families. i.e. Codonellidae + Codonellopsidae. [details]
