Taxonomic remark Probably originally intended as a subgenus of Helladosphaera (currently Calyptrosphaeraceae). From Nannotax3: Lecal (1967) refered to [the type] species variously as Helladosphaera lafourcadii, Helladosphaera (Cyclohelladosphaera) lafourcadii and Cyclohelladosphaera lafourcadii. Nannotax3 gives the current accepted name as Anthosphaera lafourcadii, however the type species of Anthosphaera has been now referred to Syracosphaera, refer note to that genus. [details]
