Taxonomic remark This genus could be allocated either to fossil fungi (since the original description referred to hyphae) or to Sporae dispersae (dispersed spores); according to Saxena et al., 2021, Kalgutkar & Jansonius 2000 provided an emended diagnosis that commences "Pluricellate hilate fungal spores...", hence at present this is treated as a spore genus in IRMNG.
