Taxonomic remark Spelled Chimarrhichthys by authors. Euchiloglanis Regan was at the time an unneeded replacement; Chimarrichthys not preoccupied by Cheimarrhichthys Haast 1874 in fishes [any unjustified emendation of Haast's spelling probably would have been after 1874]. See Euchiloglanis Regan 1907. Euchiloglanis is treated as valid based on prevailing usage by Ferraris 2007 which we follow.(Eschmeyer). [details]
