Taxonomic remark Silva & Gallo, 2011 and the PaleoBiology DB (2023 version) give authorship for this taxon as Jordan,1905, however according to Van der Laan, 2018, Jordan's authorship was for an old name for this family (Rhinellidae, based on a preoccupied genus name) and authorship of the current name is Harry, 1953 (Pacific Science 7 (2): 219-249).
