Taxonomic remark Homonym of Polymastix Gruber, 1884 (Amoebozoa); exact priority not established (both genera published in same year), however Treitli et al., 2018 "act as first reviser" and give precedence to the name Polymastix Bütschli, 1884, since Polymastix Gruber has not been used as valid in over 100 years.
