Taxonomic remark Listed as validly published at generic rank in Index Nominum Genericorum, however according to Ross & Sims, 1987, this name was originally published as "Pseudo-rutilaria. Nov. subgenus", however the name was invalid because there was no positive indication of the genus to which it was to be attributed. Later validly published as subgenus by De Toni & Levi, 1887; elevated to genus by De Toni, 1894. Basionym: Rutilaria subg. Pseudorutilaria Grove & Sturt ex De Toni & Levi, 1887. [details]
