Taxonomic remark Elsewhere given as Belinurus König, 1825 (Nomenclator Zoologicus) and König, 1820 (Størmer, 1955, in Treatise on Invertebrate Paleontology), however König's plates (for his volume 2) were not published until 1851(?) so the names in them were unavailable before this date. Bellinurus (with double "l") is a misspelling attributed to various authors (Nomenclator Zoologicus attributes it to Meek & Worthen, 1865, however it appears to be correctly attributed to Pictet, 1846).
