Taxonomic remark Replacement name for Songius Sun & Guo in Guo et al., 2010 (November), a junior homonym of Songius Yin & Li in Yin et al., 2010 (June) (Coleoptera: Staphylinidae). In the original description of the new name, Qian et al. misspelled their new name "Dasonguis" when they wrote: Dasonguis (Sun & Guo, 2010) nom. nov. (the presumed intended correct spelling appears on the next line and in 12 other places in the text). Martínez-Muñoz & Bu, 2021, treat both as original spellings and, acting as first revisers, select Dasongius as correct and Dasonguis as incorrect. [details]
