Taxonomic remark From Kammerer, 2023: Next to nothing is known about this taxon – Broom (1925) described it briefly, but did not figure the holotype, which was then lost (Broom, 1932). Broom’s description includes no comparisons with other therocephalians and little in the way of distinguishing features, so Ictidoparia must be considered a nomen dubium. Based on size (Broom estimated the skull would be 6.2 cm long), possession of a narrow snout, and origin in the Tapinocephalus AZ, this specimen was probably a juvenile scylacosaurid. However, in the absence of any further information it should be treated only as Therocephalia indet. [details]
