Descriptive info Inflorescence; Carboniferous and Permian; Europe. (Index Nominum Genericorum) [details]
Taxonomic remark nom. rej. vs. Cordaianthus F.C. Grand'Eury 1877 (nom. cons.) (Index Nominum Genericorum). A homotypic synonym of Botryoconus H.R. Göppert 1864 according to Index Nominum Genericorum. Proposed as a replacement name for Botryoconus H.R. Göppert 1864 on the basis that this cone was considered to be the male inflorescence of Noeggerathia; all such inflorescences of Cordaitales are today grouped as Cordaitanthus, a name which has priority over Cordaianthus.
