Taxonomic remark Fott's genus Scotiellopsis was a junior homonym of Scotiellopsis Vinatzer, 1975 when published, so Fott proposed the name Scotiellocystis in an Appendix, with S. levicostata (Gollerbach) Fott, (Scotiella levicostata Gollerbach [Hollerbach], 1936 as the type species. Kaufnerová & Eliáš, 2013 suggest that the type may belong in the genus Coelastrella (or possibly elsewhere in an existing genus), either conspecific with, or separate from, an existing taxon Coelastrella levicostata Korshikov, 1953.
