Taxonomic remark Vachard et al., 2015 include Nodophthalmidium in the family Tubiphytidae (Microproblematica) with the comment "Poorly transformed chambered tubes of Tubiphytes are called Cordiformis Güvenç¸ 1965 (nomen nudum; see Vachard and Montenat, 1981 and Vachard and Ferrière, 1991) and Nodophthalmidium Macfadyen, 1939", however at this time the treatment of this genus as a foraminifer per WoRMS and other sources appear more usual (possibly Vachard et al.'s listing should say "pro parte" or similar). [details]
